Bill, his sister Helen, and Helen's husband Bob joined us from Illinois for a fantastic February build! Together they built a 17-foot cruiser. Bill (the canoe's guardian) is an avid expedition paddler, and Helen and Bob are just wonderfully supportive and hard-working family members!

A special touch that Bill added to the canoe was mahogany decks. The wood was from a project that Bill and his father had made in the 1960s. Once used to build a record case for 33-1/3 records, the wood's use now should not go out of style. Sorry Elvis!

As a family building team, this group had a VERY Swedish heritage, which made the stay in Lindsborg all the more meaningful! Helen brought along her traveling Teddy Bear who had its photo taken with many of its Swedish "bear cousins" in the local quaint shops and was also photographed riding several of the local Dala Horses! Uff Dah!
