Come to our humble Kansas workshop.

Work alongside Steve ("the canoe guy").

1. Assemble a canoe-building team (2 or more individuals ... although lower age limits apply). Only one team works alongside Steve during a workshop. You will have his undivided attention!
2. Arrange a date to join Steve in our Atchison workshop and work together with Steve for 10 long, solid days with Sundays off.
3. Arrive and stay in Atchison, Kansas, for the pre-arranged workshop duration. Check out the great lodging options at http://atchisonkansas.net/v_lodging.htm
4. Spend an intensive 10 days in the workshop building one extraordinary heritage-quality woodstrip canoe!
5. At the end of the 10 days (if you've worked REAL hard), your canoe will be completed EXCEPT for the final sanding and varnishing phase.  (The fiberglass-epoxy layer must cure for 1 week before varnishing  ...we hate to make you wait around for something easily done at home -- although you can make special arrangements to do this is in our shop if your schedule allows.)

• questionable coffee & jokes
• more sawdust that you can shake a broom at!

• the enthusiasm, elbow grease, and 10 long days working in the shop
• the commitment to build memories with your building partner(s)
• a desire to learn new skills ... but no previous woodworking skills are required
• that whacky frame of mind that will allow you and your partner(s) to continue having fun after hours and hours of sanding!

• This is an ideal time for special bonding and fellowship
• Good friends who just like getting together and building things!

• Maybe you and a close friend want to build a canoe for you this year and one for them next year!
